When Is a Vampyr Not a Vampire?

My latest film review on Vamped was the classic Vampyr from 1932. Again I accepted Anthony’s mission to watch a film I had no previous knowledge about and used my virgin eyes.

I was really keeping my fingers this one would me more enjoyable than the last one. Don’t get the wrong the challenge is the fun part! I love going in with no outside influences, but I discovered the Nosferatu film wasn’t my thing. I love classic black and white movies, so I was disappointed in the film.

I have to warn you the film Vampyr wasn’t in English so if you choose to watch it, make sure to find a Criterion version with subtitles. I think the film intertwined more Ghostbusters goodness than vampires, but I don’t want to spoil it for you. Without further ado let’s take a peek into the world of a Virgin’s View of Vampyr!
