Over the past year and a half while working at Vamped, I have had the pleasure of interviewing some interesting people. I spoke with Andy Boylan, an amazing film critique; Dr. Charles Runels, the inventor of the Vampire Facelift; Trystan Swale, webmaster for the Highgate Cemetery blog; Gabriel Rhoads, co-founder of BBQ Films; Anthony Hogg, friend and Editor in Chief for Vamped, Bryon Monohan, mayor of Forks, and now Juliet Landau.
What grabbed my interest with Landau’s project “A Place Among the Undead,” was that they were making it their own without investors and I was intrigued why they were making the project in the first place. Also let’s face it, taking on something of this magnitude and doing an Indiegogo Campaign to raise $300,000 is ambitious. Part of me is also interested to see how effective their marketing strategy ends up being.
Vamped is working on something else with the folks in Landau’s crew and it’s shaping up to be a lot of fun. This time around the focus will be placed on the fans and what they want to know. I have been collecting questions from fans in our network of vampire Facebook groups, that Landau herself will be answering. I am pretty excited for this and they are too.
Anyway, stay tuned for more details or make sure to check out Vamped! Don’t forget if you want to become a member of the undead, check out their Indiegogo Campaign and sign up for a perk or two.
On a side note, I will be in Texas this weekend attending There Are Such Things! Vampire Studies Symposium so I wish all my fans and readers a fangtastic Halloween! Be safe and don’t eat too much candy.
