2015 is Going to Kick Ass!

On November 16, 2014 I branched out and launched my new site Graveyard Girl!

Graveyard Girl is now here!

Graveyard Girl is now here!

Graveyard Girl is a spin off of this site, which will be undergoing a major makeover as soon. Over the past year my personal journey has taken me further down the rabbit hole and through exploration and with Anthony’s help, I am discovering my niche.

Concerning journalism skills I have a long way to go, but I am slowly getting there. It is nice to find something you enjoy and apparently I am good at. Last night Anthony and I were discussing a case and gave me the compliment, “You got a nose for this stuff. In another life, you were a journalist.” I am enjoying the chase, that is for sure! I get a question in my head and I want to know the truth. One of my biggest advantages is I am persistent and relentless. I enjoy that sense of accomplishment and when I find what I am looking for it’s almost a high. Hard to explain. My Scooby Doo skills will develop as I go on, but that is what lead me into the idea for a new site. You can read about it more on the “About” page if you are curious, I won’t spoil it now.

When I started with this site, it was an experiment that was encouraged by Sufi and Anthony. A place for me to originally promote my book, that I have been neglecting lately. The other goal was to give me a place to share my creative expression. I have shared some personal experiences, photos, and my journey of faith, which is still going strong. I figured why not overhaul everything and fine tune it while I was at it. Graveyard Girl gives me the outlet to share my cemetery photos, and the goal is to also write some interesting articles in the “Vamped” style, but concerning death so stay tuned for new posts.

The plan for this site is to have it focus more on my personal journey and introduce a new element, my book. I spent almost 2 years writing the thing and I want to get it out there for some feedback and just to see if people enjoy it like I do. I am not sure if I want to go the publishing route yet with it so in the interim this will suffice. I will be posting chapters on here and would love to get some comments from you guys. Keep in mind, I don’t have a creative writing or journalism background. I kind of fly by the seat of my pants, and learn as I go, so be gentle with the criticism.

My journey of faith will continue for those of you keeping up with it. I am currently up to the book of Kings, so almost 1/3 of the way through the great book. It has been challenging, but I am still enjoying it. I decided I would try something new and I am planning on attending a Christmas church service on Christmas Eve. I am really looking forward to it and hope it was as enjoyable as the Easter one!

I have also been working with Anthony on a new project. We will be launching our own website design company in 2015, with an interesting concept. I can’t give away too much at this point, but if you would like a quote feel free to drop me an email. I just finished a course and Capilano University on HTML/CSS and it was quite informative. Gave me some much needed basic skills that I can now build on as we go.

I feel like Little Miss Busy written by Roger Hargreaves.

Between writing for this site and Vamped, taking my course, launching Graveyard Girl, continuing my biblical marathon, preparing to launch a new business and investigating some ongoing cases with Anthony it has been a busy ass year for all involved!

Stay tuned for the overhaul and updates on all of these projects. I have to say based on what I got on the burner right now, 2015 is going to totes kick ass!
